Finger knitting for the Kids!

Our lovely friends over at Just Joyce have had a really lovely idea that we LOVE!
.
Read on….
.
Hullo dear friends, My little mini-man has an idea, and I would like to help him with his idea.  He wants everyone to learn how to finger knit.  Yup, that’s right everyone, including YOU!  He reckons people would be happy if they knew how to finger knit.  You know what, I agree with him too. So, here is where I come in to help him with his idea.
.
At the next Made With Love Markets, I will have on the table the beginnings of a finger knitted snake.  Mini wants to see if we can make the longest snake in Coffs Harbour.  I will have yarn, however, if you have scraps of yarn that you would like to donate, then bring it along to add in, any thickness, any length, any type would be fabulous.  You do not need to know how to finger knit, that’s ok, we can teach you.  It will take 5 seconds to learn.  I have been turning this over in my head, and what do you reckon, when the longest finger knitted snake is completed, I make it into a floor rug and donate it to the children’s ward at the hospital.  A beautiful bright rainbow floor rug, made by Coffs Harbour with love.  So what do you think then?  I say let’s do it!
.
We agree!
.
Just Joyce and Mini will be at the markets on Sunday. Just near the entrance to the cafe/kids area Joyce will be set up with a nice rug for kids to sit on and learn to finger knit and contribute to the longest finger knitted snake Coffs has ever seen! Now we don’t think we will quite make the Guinness Book of World Records (4300 metres taking 8 years to make) but we can try!
